Just because a movie is made on a massive budget doesn't mean it is always a great watch. In the past few years, we have seen that happening with so many big movies. Big Budget Flop of Bollywood
The movie we are talking about is Thugs of Hindostan. When the cast was announced, the movie lovers were excited to see Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan on the big screen. The cherry on the cake was Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh's casting. However, as soon as the trailer dropped, people started doubting whether it's a good movie.
Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, Thugs of Hindostan released in theatres on November 8, 2024. Made on a big budget of approximately Rs 310 crore, the VFX and postproduction took time and effort to be completed. However, despite all the efforts, the movie produced by Yash Raj Films failed to impress the masses.
As reported by several entertainment news portals, Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan's film earned Rs 151.19 crore at the box office. The movie, which was bashed by the audience as well as the critics, earned Rs 322.07 crore worldwide. It is cited as Aamir and Big B's one of the most hated movies, as people didn't even like the story or the music. Furthermore, there were a lot of memes and jokes made about the movie as soon as the trailer was out. Some people even felt that Aamir's look resembled Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Later, Aamir even apologised to people who came to watch the movie in theatres. The superstar said, "People went to see my film with expectations and they did not like it. I feel very bad about this. I am very close to my films; my films are like my children." After that, Aamir and Amitabh didn't work together. The last time we saw them on screen was on the Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 episode when Khan arrived with his son Junaid.
