Missouri Lawmaker Proposes Illegal Alien Bounty Program
A Missouri lawmaker is floating the idea of rewarding residents who report illegal immigrants to authorities.
I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.
A new bill authored by Missouri state Republican House Rep David Gregory includes a monetary reward program for those who report and turn in illegal immigrants living in the state.
Senate Bill 72 seeks to pay Missouri residents $1,000 to report illegal immigrants in a program critics liken to a “bounty” hunt.
Residents would offer these credible leads to state highway patrol and if caught, the illegal aliens in question would be incarcerated.
Civil rights attorneys are decrying this proposal as dangerous and problematic.
Look, this proposal does seem a tad extreme. I don’t necessarily think the state of Missouri- or any state for that matter- should be incentivizing residents to find or detain anyone.
Rather, the state and all states should instead give Border Czar Tom Homan and his ICE agents the full support and resources to do their job to the best of their ability.
They are the trained professionals and if given full cooperation from state lawmakers and local law enforcement, they will make easy work of finding and removing those here illegally.
