Breaking! 'Varun Dhawan can fill Allu Arjun's space in Bollywood,' says Kalees
Varun Dhawan is all set to break the screens with his action avatar in Baby John. The film is directed by Kalees, who earlier worked as a second director in Jawan, produced by Murad Khetani and presented by Atlee. The team is excited about bringing the film to the theatres on December 25. It is the holiday season and the makers are sure that the underlying message of the film, and the fact that it is a massy, family entertainer will hold it in good stead.
It is interesting to note that the film is releasing at a time when Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule is dominating the box office. However, that is not something that's giving the team any jitters. In fact, director Kalees is sure that the film will resonate with the larger audience. Talking about Varun Dhawan, with whom he worked for the first time, Kalees says that he was left purely speechless with Varun's performance.
"Varun is extremely talented and he is very good in the film. Be it emotional scenes or action. He has a range that not many actors can boast of," says Kalees.
He also claims, "Varun Dhawan will leave everyone shocked with his performance." Reacting to Pushpa 2 still running to packed houses, Kalees said, "Varun Dhawan has it in him to fill the space of Allu Arjun in Bollywood." Hinting at the massy appeal of the actor, that can draw audience into the theatres and keep the film running to a full house for weeks.
Baby John releases on Christmas and also stars Wamiqa Gabbi and Keerthy Suresh.
