Shah Rukh Khan once talked about his father
When Shah Rukh Khan appeared on Kaun Banega Crorepati once, he told Amitabh Bachchan that he had never been to Kashmir back then. His father told him not to visit that place. "So he died very early. I have been all over the world. Lekin main Kashmir kabhi nahi gaya. Bohot saare mauke bhi mile, doston ne bohot bulaya, ghar wale chutti pe bhi gaye, par main Kashmir kabhi nahi gaya. Kyunki mere father ne kaha tha ki Kashmir mere bina mat dekhna, Kashmir main dikhaaunga. I had many opportunities; even family and friends have gone there. But I have never been to Kashmir. My father told me not to go as he wanted me to go with him."
SRK lost his father when he was just a teenager. Meer Taj Mohammed Khan died due to cancer. On the other hand, Khan's mother, Lateef Fatima Khan, passed away when he was 24.
