Baby John box office collection day 7: Varun Dhawan's film ends week 1 with a dismal Rs 32.65 crore
Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff and Rajpal Yadav starrer Baby John which was released on December 25 is struggling to find its place at the box office. The mass action drama failed to grab audiences' attention on New Year's Eve and has entered the flop film list.
Varun Dhawan movie is facing the wrath as the film opened with Rs 10.75 crore on its first day and it managed to collect Rs 27 crore in its extended opening weekend of 5 days. The film could not even achieve proper figures at the box office. As per estimates, the film's net is around Rs 2 crore. The total earnings of Baby John is around Rs 31 crore net in India and it is expected to get a theatrical run around Rs 40 crore net. The global gross collection of Baby John could be around Rs 70 crore to Rs 75 crore.

Baby John is a story about the life of Inspector Satya Verma (Varun Dhawan), who goes around with the name Baby John and lives in Kerala with his daughter Khushi (Zara Zyanna) and his old friend, Ram Sevak (Rajpal Yadav). As to others, Baby John is a man of peace, but his past as a fierce inspector is revealed when Khushi's teacher (Wamiqa Gabbi) tries to uncover his secret. The story takes you into flashbacks when Baby John was happily married and got involved in a high-stakes battle against Babar Sher (Jackie Shroff), a powerful figure exploiting young women.
The business first dipped on the second day with a collection of Rs 4.75 crore and it was a 57.78 per cent dip as compared to the first day. On day 6, the film earned Rs 1.85 crore and has been on a steady decline. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 The Rule has been dominating the box office and how. Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer is approaching Dangal's all-time record and has earned Rs 1760 crore within 25 days of its release. The film has been produced by Jawan-fame Atlee and has been directed by Kalees. Salman Khan made a special appearance in the action-thriller.
