Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 on OTT: Kartik Aaryan's film outshines Shaitaan and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video in debut week

The year 2024 has been exciting for Kartik Aaryan. The actor had two big releases last year: Chandu Champion and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. While the former received great reviews, the latter was a superhit at the box office. BB3 is Kartik's second movie in the horror-comedy franchise, where he reprises his role as Rooh Baba. Directed by Anees Bazmee, it also stars Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri.

On December 27, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 was released on Netflix after its theatrical release on November 1, 2024. In its debut week, Kartik Aaryan's horror comedy gained 3.7 million viewers and 9.8 million viewing hours. Thanks to such a great response, the 2024 superhit film got a second spot on Netflix's Top 10 non-English films globally.

Further in this entertainment news, compared to the other movies that were dropped on Netflix in 2024, BB3 managed to beat the record of several movies that had garnered great views in their debut week. It has secured the sixth position in its debut week when it comes to Hindi movies. Kartik's film has surpassed the previous records set by Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan's Shaitaan (3.2 million) and Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video (3.3 million).

The first position is taken, of course, by Ranbir Kapoor's Animal (6.2 million) in its debut week. It was one of the most discussed movies of 2024 on almost every social media platform. It is followed by Fighter (5.9 million), Crew (5.4 million), Dunki (4.9 million), Khel Khel Mein (4 million) and BB3 being in the sixth position. However, on social media, the response received for Kartik Aaryan's film after its OTT release is not entirely positive.
