After Dhanush, Chandramukhi makers send legal notice to Nayanthara over usage of film’s clips in her documentary?
Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale is one of the most talked about things. We have all heard of the controversies that happened around this documentary. Nayanthara and Dhanush's issues have been the talk of the town. The problems started when Nayanthara shared an open letter against Dhanush for filing the Rs 10 crore lawsuit against her documentary. She spoke about how she had to wait for two years to get NOC for using Naanum Rowdy Dhaan's footage in her documentary. Dhanush is the producer of the film and the movie is special for Nayanthara as that is where her love story with Vignesh Shivan began.
Dhanush filed a lawsuit against her and Vignesh Shivan in Madras High Court over the alleged use of the footage from the film. There have been a lot of stories around this and we saw that Nayanthara has been accused of using this for publicity of her documentary. However, she said that she had no option because Dhanush refused to speak to her over call. Many have supported her as well.
More trouble for Nayanthara?
Now, this matter is again in the limelight. It is being said that the makers of the 2005 Tamil film Chandramukhi have also taken legal action against her. Yes, as per reports, they have demanded Rs 5 crore over the usage of film's clips in her documentary. They have reportedly said that the clips from their movie were used without permission.
However, the makers have also clarified that the news is fake. The confirmed that they granted the actress permission to use the footage. The news about Chandramukhi makers taking legal action was shared by actor Chitra Lakshman on his YouTube channel.
In the YouTube Channel it was being said that the makers were unhappy with the inclusion of certain scenes from their film.
