At that time, Taurani also spoke to Salman Khan about the film and he immediately agreed to be a part of the same.
Ramesh Taurani revealed that Salman didn't even listen to the plot and agreed to do the film. However, he wanted the team to get consent from Chandrachur Singh, who was already cast in Kya Kehna. "I don't want to take something that belongs to someone else, something that's cursed." Further in this entertainment news, Ramesh told Radio Nasha Official that the news of Singh's casting in the film with Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan had already leaked to the press. So he decided not to back out. Hence, Salman couldn't be a part of the same. Even Khan suggested to Ramesh that he should continue doing the movie with Chandrachur.
