Meet actress who admitted to being a drug..., left home at..., was sexually abused, still as popular as Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan

Many Bollywood actors have witnessed several ups and downs during their journey in the showbiz industry. They have understood that whether it is good or bad times, both are unavoidable. However, only those who managed to combat all struggles and keep going have been the real winners. The Bollywood industry has seen several talented actors and actresses, but not all of them have managed to stay on top, Today we talk about a fierce and fearless star who never hesitates to speak her mind. We are talking about Kangana Ranaut. She has been a part of many amazing movies. However, many of her films have flopped at the box office and turned out to be disasters too. She has been a part of 31 films and 22 out of them have been flops.

In the last ten years, she has given only one hit which was Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi. The film released in 2019 and performed moderately. The other films were labelled as box office failures. Her recent movie, Emergency is also a flop.

Since 2015, Kangana has not been able to get a single hit movie. Her last three films, Tejas, Dhaakad, and Thalaivii have struggled to even get double digit numbers.

During the lockdown she shared a video where she spoke about how she became a drug addict and had left home. "I was 15 or 16 when I ran away from my house, and I used to feel like I could grab the stars with my hands. After I left my house, I was a film star and a drug addict within 1.5 - 2 years of it. My life was so messed up, I was with certain type of people from whom only death could have saved me. All of this happened in my life only at the time when I was only a teenager."

She had also faced sexual abuse, which she discussed on her show Lock Upp. "So many kids every year go through this kind of harassment but no one discusses this on a public platform. Everyone's touched inappropriately in childhood. This has been experienced by many including me. In my town when I was quite small, a boy, who was a few years older than me, used to inappropriately touch me. But I didn't know back then what it meant. Every child has to go through this no matter how protective their family is."

However, she has seen the best times as well. The actress has won two consecutive National Film Awards for Best Actress for Queen (2014) and a dual role in the Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015). She had also won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for Fashion (2008).

She has had a successful political career as well. She is serving as a Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Mandi since June 2024.
