Priest Scribe Hilarion and His Supposed Autographs
The article deals with manuscripts from the Russian Academy of Sciences Library, the State Historical Museum, and the Russian National Library. The codices were written by a little-known Old Russian priest-scribe Hilarion in the 1460–1480s. The authors perform a codicological investigation of codices and suggest that Hilarion could have been a hegumen of the Pavlo-Obnorsky Monastery. Manuscripts by Hilarion and other codices from the Pavlo-Obnorsky Monastery suggest that this cloister was a significant book center in the second half of the 15th century. There is a short description of manuscripts of Hilarion in the Appendix.
