People on Twitter are lashing out over these discouraging kids shirts from Old Navy

It's a good thing a young Picasso never saw these shirts. 

Old Navy is taking heat online after the retailer reportedly sold girls' shirts reading "Young Aspiring Artist," with the word artist crossed out in exchange for astronaut or president. 

Here's a look.

The shirts do not appear to currently be for sale on the Old Navy website, but Tech Insider has reached out to Old Navy to confirm the shirts were real. We will update this post when we hear back.

Online, people are not too happy.

This Twitter user pointed out the irony, since the shirts were most likely designed by an artist.

As of publication, Old Navy has not responded to our request for comment.
