CMC blacklist “Live Events” for tax evasion

The Mayor of Colombo A. J. M. Muzammil had blacklisted the Company that organized Enrique concert for not settling the entertainment tax of Rs.29 Million.

The Treasury Department of the Colombo Municipal Council on December 23 filed acase against the organizers of live concert  by Latin music idol Enrique Iglesias held on December 20  at the CR&FC Grounds for failing to pay nearly Rs. 30 million in taxes.

It is reported that entertainment tax amounting to Rs. 29,125,845 has allegedly been unpaid by the organizers of the event.
