HORROR: Two Burn To Death In ACT Car Crash

Horror strikes in the capital after two die in a car accident.

Two persons were burnt to death in a tragic motor accident in the Central Business District in the Federal Capital Territory on Wednesday.

Although the identities of the victims could not be immediately ascertained, they are understood to be one male and one female.

The accident, which happened at about 00.45, involved a male driver of a 2010 Toyota Camry and his female companion who were trapped in the car and subsequently burnt to death after it crashed.

The car was travelling at an excessive speed when it lost control, hit a tree and burst into flames. The car engine was dislodged due to the impact of the crash.

An unidentified acquaintance of the driver who was passing by identified the car number plate and contacted the family members of the deceased who subsequently came to the scene.

The relatives then retrieved the legs and burnt bones of the deceased male from the wreckage.
