Five-year national biotech strategy unveiled

Intending to establish India as a world class bio-manufacturing hub, the Centre on Wednesday unveiled the country’s National Biotechnology Development Strategy 2015-2020 that would work to turn this sector into a $100 billion industry by 2025 with focus in areas of healthcare, food and nutrition, clean energy and education.
