Dry Pallikaranai marsh after rain a warning, say naturalists

Bird watchers and environmentalists who flocked to the Pallikaranai marsh after the recent heavy rain gaped in shock at what they saw. The wetland that should have been brimming with water and teeming with resident and migratory birds was largely dry.
