Cech Joined Arsenal To Win The Premier League

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech states that he joined Arsenal to win the Premier League title.

Cech was signed from Chelsea by Arsenal for £10million during the summer transfer and he’s since helped the side to the top of the table while Chelsea are struggling.

He stated in an interview with Daily Mirror his reasons behind joining the Gunners, Cech said: “I wanted to go to a team that could win. If I didn’t believe that I was going to a team which could win then I don’t know why I would come.

“I play football, not to only enjoy it and I love the challenge of playing and competing with the best players, but I want to have the chance to win.”

Metro stresses that Chelsea are currently hovering above the relegation places in the league so Cech’s decision to move on looks justified.
