Player Head-kicked Teammate During A League Match (PHOTOS/VIDEOS)

A Sanayispor FC player in the Turkish non-league kicks an opponent in the head when he was sent-off the pitch by the referee for unfootballing acts.

The player attacked the opponent first by kicking his legs, and when he was shown the red card went back to head-kick the helpless player lying on the pitch.

The said brutal attack was caused by a player identified as Mehmet Degirmenci, and as seen in the video, Karakas Dallicaspor who was attacked stood up and chase down his attacker who had fled for safety.

The match took place in the Nazilli district of Turkey’s western province on Sunday and it ended in a chaos.

Karakas will need about nine stitches on his lip after the match. He told reporters:  “I continued playing for a while as I was playing in a team that we have established with great efforts. I did not want to leave my friends alone.

“Thank God that kick came near my jaw. If it had hit me directly in the face, it could have broken my nose, made me blind or broken my neck.”

Sanayispor have sacked the player and apologised to Karakas in a statement released by the club’s president.

“To Dallicaspor on behalf of the management, we apologise to our brothers Kayhan and opponents,” he said.

“Has been cut in relation to our football club.”

Meanwhile, When Leyton Orient beat Portsmouth on Boxing Day, assistant manager Andy Hessenthaler would have expected a hug or a warm handshake from president Frencesco Becchetti. Instead the assistant manager received a kick from the club owner.
