LCD Soundsystem, Guns N' Roses rumored to be coming out of retirement to play Coachella

For a brief moment in 2016, two retired bands — LCD Soundsystem and Guns N' Roses, featuring both Axl Rose and Slash — will be back together. The New York Times reports that both bands will be performing at California's Coachella festival in 2016, set for April 15-17 and April 22-24.

LCD Soundsystem's rumored performance would mark its first since James Murphy's band played a farewell show at Madison Square Garden in 2011, though the band did release its first song in five years this Christmas Eve. For Guns N' Roses, the appearance of frontman Axl Rose and guitarist Slash on the stage together would mark the end of a two-decade feud that disbanded the original group in the mid-90s. The last show that featured the two playing together was on July 17, 1993 in Buenos Aires, Billboard reports.

Neither performance has yet been confirmed. Coachella is expected to announce the festival lineup early next week.
