Joris & Ringis

In 2025, I had the pleasure of illustrating the fairy-tale book Joris and Ringis, written by debut children's author Gintaras Lazdynas, designed by R?ta Ivaškevi?i?t?, published by Žalias Kalnas, and funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture.

Beyond the edge of time, in an old and distant town, unfolds a world woven from magic and unseen powers. Here, sorcerers murmur ancient spells, herbalists guard the secrets of plants, and healers mend not only bodies, but souls. In this town lived two brothers ? Joris and Ringis ? alike as two drops of water, yet different as light and shadow. One day, an invisible force awakens. Wild and untamed, it sweeps through the streets, summoning fierce winds, overturning market stalls, and lifting everything in its path into the air. No one knows where it comes from, or why it came. For evil does not always need to be seen to be felt.
