The North Carolina High School Athletic Association boys golf season is finally teeing off. Polk County was the only team from Western North Carolina that qualified for the NCHSAA state championships last season, finishing seventh in 1A. Three NCHSAA golfers finished in the top five at state competitions, while Asheville Christian Academy had two top-10 finishers in NCISAA.
