DULUTH — It’s not exactly easy to stand out in a family full of elite swimmers, but Duluth’s Joey Zelen is finding a way. His parents both swam at North Dakota, as did oldest brother Tyler, until the program was cut after his sophomore year. Tyler transferred to Wisconsin and ultimately brother Ryan followed him there. The boys all have slightly different specialities in the pool, but they all have one event in common. “In our family, whoever has the fastest 50 freestyle time is a big achievement,” Will Zelen, the youngest of the family, said.
