ST. LOUIS — Hundreds of Purdue men’s basketball fans came to Enterprise Center to celebrate history Friday night, and when it came, the roar filled the arena. Almost eight minutes elapsed before Trey Kaufman-Renn took a no-look pocket pass from Braden Smith, weaved past two Queens defenders and scored through contact. The whistle which signaled the foul and stopped play momentarily allowed that celebration to linger. “The crowd went crazy and I thought it was from my Euro step, but I guess it wasn’t,” Kaufman-Renn said following a 104-71 victory in a West Region first round game.
