Hayk Marutyan: New Force Party will not cooperate with Civil Contract  Party or force led by Robert Kocharyan

ArmInfo.  The New Force Party will not cooperate with the ruling Civil Contract Party or the force led by second President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan in preparation for the upcoming elections. Hayk Marutyan, the New Force candidate for Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and former Yerevan Mayor, stated this in a conversation with journalists on March 21.

According to him, before today's event, the party held talks about the possibility of forming an electoral bloc with other political forces in the country, but ultimately, the party's board decided to run in the parliamentary elections independently.

Marutyan noted that the party has "red lines" that no one will cross. The issue concerns a refusal to cooperate with Robert Kocharyan and the State Duma party. As for other political forces, including the one led by Samvel Karapetyan, there is a serious disagreement with them regarding the country's future development. "We see this development according to the European model; they, as I understand it, prefer other directions. If they officially declare the priority of the European path, then we are ready to begin active cooperation, especially since this will overcome the most important disagreement-the ideological one. All other issues are minor and can be discussed. Ultimately, our common goal is the removal of the current authorities," Hayk Marutyan noted.
