ANC Deputy Chair: TRIPP is a model based on unilateral geopolitical  interests

ArmInfo. The Trump route (TRIPP) is a vulnerable model based on unilateral geopolitical interests, as stated by Levon Zurabyan, Deputy Chairman of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) and a candidate for Prime Minister,   at a press conference in Yerevan,  when presenting the "Sovereign World" concept.

Speaking about TRIPP, Zurabyan noted that this communication model  poses a threat, as it has left many countries with their own  interests in the region outside the project, including Russia, Iran,  China, and India.  "We are already seeing the consequences of this  approach today. And it has become clear that relying on a guarantor  far from our country cannot be effective, including from a security  standpoint. Furthermore, we are convinced that this is a political  project aimed at linking the US with Central Asian markets, creating  a Turkish gateway, and isolating Iran and Russia from the South  Caucasus," the politician emphasized.

Instead, he said, the ANC is proposing a TRIPP + BRICS model. In  other words, as Zurabyan clarified, the interests of all geopolitical  players must be harmonized. "And to achieve this, a 'Zangezur  Transport Hub' (an approach proposed by Armenia's first president,  Levon Ter-Petrosyan, as an alternative to the so-called 'Zangezur  Corridor' - ed.) should be established in Syunik, not the so-called  'Zangezur Corridor,' which would only benefit the West, Turkey, and  Azerbaijan. This route would also provide north-south communication,  linking Armenia via Iran to the Persian Gulf - today we see how  important this communication is," Zurabyan emphasized.

He added that such an  order would create geopolitical balance and  ensure independent communications for Armenia through the Persian  Gulf, bypassing Azerbaijan and Turkey. "This is the model we propose  within the framework of the concept of a sovereign world. This is the  only model that, in our opinion, will work," the ANC deputy chairman  noted.
