Epidemiological crisis in Byureghavan: Eight hospitalized due to  suspected water contamination

ArmInfo.An epidemic situation has been reported in the Byureghavan community of Armenia's Kotayk region; 8 people have been hospitalized.

According to Armen Vardounyan, the acting director of the city's  polyclinic, emergency calls began surging at around 7:00 PM  yesterday, with 30 cases reported in just one evening.

Patients with mild symptoms are treated at the local polyclinic,  while some are being referred to medical centers in Yerevan. Eight  people have been hospitalized at the Abovyan Medical Center.  Residents primarily complained of nausea, vomiting, and fever.  According to preliminary data, the emergency was caused by poor  drinking water quality.
