This is why Kate has her hair down more often than Meghan
You might or might not have noticed that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle more or less always wear their hair in the same way, that is to say Kate always wears her hair down, and Meghan often has hers up in a chic up-do.
In fact, the Duchess of Cambridge was one of very few royal brides to wear her hair down on her wedding day, apparently so that she wouldn’t look too different to Prince William. Meanwhile, Meghan is hardly ever seen with her hair down.
According to hair stylist Troy Alexandros, there is a very simple reason for it: the texture of their hair.
He told the Express, ‘Meghan’s hair is naturally very very curly, after years of Brazilian blowdry sessions the hair can become straighter than before. This can cause a curlier root which is definitely not a good look for someone always in the press!’
‘A tidy up do is also a great way to hide fuzzy edges and curls which can appear after a hard busy day of royal affairs,’ he added.
As for Kate, the reason she often wears her hair down is no doubt because she finds it suits her better, but it might well be because of the scar she has on her face.
The Duchess might simply wish to hide hers, and though she does sometimes have her hair up during formal events, she often still has loose hairs to frame her face and soften the look.
