Royal Baby Sussex is in the house!

The British Royal Family has once again welcomes yet another member into their family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex first announced that the family was expecting their first child. Meghan’s delivery was expected to be end April to early May. The country has been waiting with bated breath since the end of April and now the new Royal Baby has finally arrived.

Weighing in at 3.2kg, the new baby boy is seventh in line for the throne behind his father, Prince Harry. Baby Sussex also has yet to have a name as the Duke and Duchess have yet to decide on one. Interestingly enough, Buckingham Palace were determined to keep the birth of the new royal baby a secret to respect the privacy of the family. The announcement that the Duchess had gone into labour was only announced 40 minutes before the announcement of the baby’s arrival.

Speaking to the relatively small gathering of media gathered outside Frogmore cottage, the Duke couldn’t contain his excitement. It took him a few moments to pull himself together to his usual royal persona before admitting that he had definitely scraped a few hours of sleep. He announced that “mother and baby are doing incredibly well” before pouring praises for his new son describing him as “absolutely amazing” and “this little thing is absolutely to-die-for”.

Kensington Palace even has announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were “delighted” with the news. The Cambridges are also looking “forward to meeting the latest addition to the family”.

The baby is the first British royal to hold dual citizenship having automatically acquired US citizenship via Meghan at birth. He is also the first biracial royal baby to have been born marking the start of a new era for the British Royal Family.
