Young girl drowns on Pangasinan beach

BOLINAO, Pangasinan – A five-year-old girl drowned on a beach in Barangay Balingasay here Sunday, July 17.

Police said the victim and her family went to the beach for a picnic at around 6 a.m.

The victim went to the sea to swim alone and unnoticed while her mother was eating breakfast.

At around 8:15 a.m., the victim was found floating at sea by her family.

The victim’s mother tried to revive her daughter to no avail.

The girl was taken to a hospital where she was declared dead.
