Rape suspect listed as 4th most wanted man in Las Piñas arrested
An 18-year-old man wanted for a rape case was arrested Monday, July 18, by operatives of Las Piñas Police Warrant and Subpoena Section and the District Mobile Force Battalion.
Col. Jaime Santos, city police chief, said the suspect, Miguel Philip Garnace, was arrested around 11:50 a.m. on Maingat St. in Phase 4, Barangay CAA, Las Piñas.
Santos said Garnace was listed by the police as the fourth most wanted person in the city for the 3rd quarter of 2022 after a warrant of arrest was issued against him on May 6.
He said Judge Nerina Anastacio-Mendinueto of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 199 issued the warrant of arrest against Garnace for rape with no bail recommended.
Santos said they will notify the court about Garnace’s arrest.
