Navotas City gets highest mark from COA

Navotas City government has received the highest audit rating from the Commission on Audit (COA) for the seventh consecutive year.

The local government received an “unmodified opinion” from COA for the year 2021.

Mayor John Rey Tiangco and Cong. Toby Tiangco received the report from Percival Arlos, OIC supervising auditor of the Navotas Auditing Unit.

“Patunay po ito ng maayos at tapat na paggamit natin ng pondo ng bayan (This is proof of our proper and honest use of public funds),” former Mayor Toby Tiangco said.

COA gives an “unmodified opinion” to a government office or agency that has presented its financial position, financial performance, and cash flows in a fair manner and in accordance with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards.
