The European Championship in Latin American dance 2017 has brought victory to Moldova
On April 15, the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow hosted the European Championship in Latin American dance among professionals. As well as the three previous European dance forums, that also took place in Kremlin, this championship has become not only fascinating sports competition, but also a truly bright festive event that gave unforgettable impression for everyone in the legendary hall that evening. “Gazprombank” was a general sponsor of the championship, PJSC “YATEC” – the official partner. Stanislav Popov, The President of the Russian Dance Union, The Honored Art worker of Russia, The Honorable Vice-President of WDC was the organizer.
Stanislav Popov’s extensive, over than twenty years, experience in hosting international championships has ensured perfect event organization, what was noticed by all championship attendees. Both domestic and international duets state in concert, that dance events in Kremlin are always a highly organized competitions hosted in a great unique ambiance. Participation in such tournaments is a true joy for a professional dancer. And only RDU’s President Stanislav Popov and his team know what a colossal amount of work has been done to make this joy come to life.
This is what maestro Popov told us about his organization experience this year:
“We hosted The European Championship in Moscow for the fourth time in a row. Nevertheless, it is hard to say it becomes easier each time. Of course, when you have experience, you can clearly see all preparation stages. I do know what to do in advance – in half a year, five month, four, and three. I do know what I have to do in the last three days before the event, as well as my team, which is over than twenty years with me, also understands their objectives and scope of work. Just when you already have an experience of hosting a couple of championships, perhaps an amazement and euphoria from the understanding that you host such an event steps back a bit and then a more rational approach, professional attitude comes to the fore. In other words, we try to pay attention to absolutely everything, including little things and details, there are always a lot of them, and each time something unexpected happen. I could call to mind many cases in this twenty-odd years. It is always something. It is a reasonably complicated process.”
Championship has turned a virtually magnificent and memorable event. Everyone presented at the event received unforgettable emotions, fully enjoyed the incredible sports dance beauty, the duets mastery and the splendor decoration.
This time through the efforts of organizers glorious singers and dancers - participants of the show program – were presented in front of the public. Evening was opened by a fascinating dynamic performance of dance group from Tomsk. Eight couples performed stunning Formation dances. Ravishing singer Maria Paloma started her part of the show by performing Astora Piazzolla “Libertango” charming tango. Her vocal accompanied performance of the world champions in Argentinian Tango – Dmitry Vasin and Sogdiana.
All night long two remarkable musical bands were presented on a stage. Their presence on Kremlin tournaments has long become an indispensable attribute and a “visiting card” of the events. “The Seven winds” orchestra virtuosos and their leader – Georgy Musheev – accompanied performance of The European Championship participants, and awarded public with incessant fiery and passionate Latin tunes. Audience by a tradition was granted a chance to dance on a legendary parquet. Maestro Musheev and his band also provided musical accompaniment for this part of the evening.
“Dance-land” ensemble under control of Semyon Milshtein played for participants of Kremlin Cup in European program among amateurs that was hosted the same evening.
Glorious, truly stellar list of European championship participants ensured tournament intrigue and gave a bunch of marvelous moments for the audience and judges. The latter had a very busy day. It was a challenge to select the best from the brilliant and distinctive duos, each of which possess a pronounce personality, an excellent training and an incredible will to win. A very tough competition among the European elite that has developed in the last few month was keeping everyone tense and strained until the very last minute. Everyone has shown everything that was planned and took a long preparation for 100%. Competition finals turned out such bright and dramatic, that emotions went wild not only on the floor, but also in the auditorium.
