Summer conscription to Armenian Armed Forces extended till 15 August

YEREVAN, 25 July. /ARKA/. The summer conscription to the Armenian Armed Forces has been extended by 15 days until 15 August inclusive, the government decree adopted today says./pp

The conscription for compulsory military service runs from 29 April to 31 July 2024 inclusive, while the staffing runs from 24 June to 31 July 2024./pp

However, an analysis of the 2024 summer conscription revealed that as of 15 July, a large number of citizens subject to conscription were still undergoing medical examinations. Since it is not possible to complete the medical examination of all citizens within the previously established deadlines, it was decided to extend the deadlines by 15 days./pp

This will allow to avoid additional deferrals for citizens subject to summer conscription and rule out postponement of medical examinations to winter conscription. -0-/p
