YEREVAN, October 7/ARKA/. By the end of October 2024, the Yerevan Metro will completely switch to a single ticket payment system, abandoning tokens, acting director of the capital's metro Babken Sedrakyan said on Monday.nbsp;br/pp

According to him, currently each metro station has one turnstile for payment with tokens. This is necessary so that passengers can smoothly adapt to the new QR code system. The latter are available through a mobile application, as well as terminals and metro ticket offices, Sedrakyan explained at a meeting at the mayor's office.nbsp;/pp

He reported that over the past week, the metro has transported 582,622 passengers, of whom more than 350,000 have already used the new payment system. By the end of the month, we will completely switch to the single ticket system, Sedrakyan noted./pp nbsp;About the unified system/pp

Currently in Yerevan one trip on a bus or metro costs 100 drams, on a trolleybus - 50 drams./pp

According to the draft amendment to public transport tariffs approved by the City Council of Elders on March 12, 2023, the following tariff plans are provided:/pp nbsp;- Single use per vehicle/pp 90-minute ticket - 280-300 AMD for 3 trips/pp 880 to 900 AMD for 1 day - 8 trips/pp 4800-5000 AMD for 7 days - 30 trips/pp nbsp;- Unlimited trips/pp 8800-9000 AMD for 30 days/pp 23,600-24,000 AMD for 90 days/pp 88,000-90,000 AMD for 365 days/pp

- Multiple-use ticket - 2100-2200 AMD for 10 trips per month./pp
