Flight Attendant Reveals What Your Travel Clothes Say About You

Many air travelers prioritize comfort over style when it comes to dressing themselves for the airport. According to one flight attendant, what you wear for your flight might be related to your personality. 

Dallas-based flight attendant Cher Killough has been sharing her thoughts on the matter in a series of TikToks. Throughout the videos, she delivers the assumptions that she and her colleagues make about passengers by just looking at what they're wearing. 

As far as clothes go, she joked that Lululemon's Scuba sweatshirts are often worn by someone who's either "a middle schooler or somebody's fiancée."

"Ladies, if you're single, get you one of these, because I swear this girl always has a massive rock on her finger," she added.

"Sundress with flat sandals is always a mom that has organic snacks in her bag," she continued. "You know her pantry is always stocked and she's as crunchy as can be."

"If you're wearing a lounge romper I'm assuming that you did not think this through because that top is going to be on the pee-soaked floor of the lavatory," she noted. Regarding another unsanitary outfit choice, she pointed out that "If you're wearing denim shorts or bike shorts, I'm assuming that you do not realize how many diapers get changed on those seats and you probably wouldn't care anyway."

As for ever-popular cuff sweatpants, she acknowledged "You just care about comfort, and that's okay."

In various videos dedicated to shoes, she explained how she viewed certain choices in footwear. 

"If you want to remain mysterious, wear these," she added of simple black Nike sneakers with white logos. "These are positively neutral ground."

In another shoes-focused video, she offered other assumptions based on her experience. "This guy has probably not flown in eight years, but he is going to be the sweetest man I've ever met in my life," she said of white New Balance sneakers. For Crocs wearers, her verdict was straightforward: "You did not shower before this flight, and your sweatpants probably have at least one stain on them."

For Timberland boots wearers, she said "if we have an emergency on board, I'm immediately going to go find this guy because he can definitely do some heavy lifting." On Hoka sneakers, "If we have a medical [emergency] on board, I'm immediately coming to find this person because they're most likely a nurse."
