Match Reports
Div.2 Women v St Pats
Another Home Game for the ladies taking on St Pats FC and they turned it on. Coach keen to get on the scoreboard early and after 5mins goals from Mya and Chantal set the tone for dominant first half from Spurs. Chantal slotted 2 more in quick succession for her hat-trick and Seanna stepped up for a penalty to make it 6-0 at the half. We didn’t have it all our way in the second half and Lain in goals was outstanding when needed keeping our third clean sheet of the year. Yas was able to hit the net in the second half but we dropped away a little with rotations and was noticeable a few of the ladies need to get to training more often to start building the tank for the rest of the season. Grill’d Award went to Chantal with a great game up top. We continue to create opportunities and right across the park our defence and midfield continue to control the play to allow the opportunities to happen. Well done all!
Over 35s v St Pats
We lost 1-5 to a very strong and youthful (under 40) St Pats who were well organised and far superior to what we had available for this fixture. If not for Lee in goals it would have been double the score and that is why Lee was name our Grill’d player of the match. His son Bailey was runner up best on ground for running the line!
Thank you to all that helped with ground duty and special thanks to Jordan Howard and the Senior lads for chipping in while on BBQ while we played.
