"Belarus invited Armenia to take part in parade in Minsk, but parade units of Armenia did not arrive"
ArmInfo. Belarus invited Armenia to take part in the parade in Minsk, but for far-fetched, subjective
reasons, the parade units of this country did not arrive. This was stated by State Secretary of the Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich, answering journalists' questions, a BELTA correspondent reports.
Representatives of a number of foreign countries were among the
participants in the parade on Independence Day in Minsk: Russia,
Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The State Secretary of the Security Council was asked whether an
invitation had been sent to the Armenian side.
Aleksandr Volfovich said that representatives of Armenia were also
invited to take part in the parade in Minsk. "Armenia is still a
member of the CSTO, it is invited to all forums," he replied. These
days, another international event is taking place in the Belarusian
capital - the CIS Defense Ministers Council. "Armenia was also
invited. But for some far-fetched, most likely subjective reasons (we
understand what these reasons are), unfortunately, the delegation of
Armenia, the parade units of Armenia did not arrive to take part in
the parade," Aleksandr Volfovich stated.
