Pirates activate C Joey Bart from IL

The Pittsburgh Pirates reinstated catcher Joey Bart from the 10-day injured list on Friday.

Bart was placed on the IL on Aug. 26 due to a left hamstring strain. He was injured the previous night while attempting to beat out a grounder in the first inning of Pittsburgh's 4-3 home victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

Bart is batting .272 with 12 home runs and 39 RBIs in 63 games
