Whitecaps seek breakthrough vs. LAFC in West semifinal

The Vancouver Whitecaps will try at last to get the better of visiting LAFC when they meet for a third consecutive MLS Cup Playoffs in Saturday night's Western Conference semifinal.

Vancouver lost to LAFC in the best-of-three first-round series in both 2023 and 2024, and were also eliminated by the Black & Gold from the 2023 Concacaf Champions League in the round
