Man dies after tree falls on car amid severe winds in southeastern Australia

SYDNEY, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- A man has died and a woman has been flown to hospital after a tree fell on their car in the Australian state of Victoria on Wednesday amid severe winds.

Victoria Police said in a statement on Wednesday that emergency services were called to Gellibrand, a town approximately 150 kilometers southwest of Melbourne, after a tree fell onto the car, trapping both occupants.
