Japanese crime boss pleads guilty to sending nuclear materials to Iran
NEW YORK CITY, New York: A Japanese man, Takeshi Ebisawa, pleaded guilty this week in a U.S. court to charges of trafficking uranium and plutonium, believing Iran would use them to make nuclear weapons.
The 60-year-old admitted to weapons and drug trafficking charges that could lead to a minimum of 10 years in prison, with a possible life sentence. His sentencing is scheduled for April 9.
