Wall Street tripped up by Trump tariffs, Dow Jones drops 337 points

NEW YORK, New York - U.S. stocks reeled on Friday when U.S. President Donald Trump, in a shock announcement, said tariffs would be imposed on Canada, Mexico, and China, as of Saturday.

Hefty 25 percent tariffs will be taxed on Canadian and Mexican goods, while Chine procuts will attract a 10 percent tariff.

While stocks sank, the U.S. dollar jumped.
