Often, filmmakers tend to make sequels of their hit films. In fact, both Sultan and Gunday were such massive hits that upon their release, many fans thought both films could have potential sequels. Sultan, Gunday to get sequels? Director Ali Abbas Zafar reveals
Ali Abbas Zafar is currently basking in the success of the Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. When asked if he ever gave thought to making sequels of his hit films like Sultan and Gunday, the acclaimed director said, ''I feel that any film can have a sequel, but you need to have a story for it. So, I would say that the day there is a story, and I feel that these films can lend themselves forward smoothly without getting tampered, definitely we can look into that way. But as of now, at this point in time, I am more happy creating more original content and working on it.''
Both Gunday and Sultan were commercially successful and critically acclaimed films. In fact, it was Gunday where for the first time Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh worked together and thus started their bromance which continues till even now. Talking about Sultan, it was the first film where Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma collaborated together. Cinema lovers loved the enchanting on-screen chemistry of Anushka and Salman.
Ali Abbas Zafar's recently released film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has been garnering a lot of positive accolades at the box office as well as from film critics. The movie also features Prithviraj Sukumaran as the antagonist. Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, and Sonakshi Sinha are the female leads of the film.
