Stree 2: Amar Kaushik reacts to Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor's credit war game, confronted Aparshakti Khurana for 'PR Game' comment
Stree 2 has been a massive success at the box office, adding another hit to the growing Maddock Supernatural Universe. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. Following the success of the 2018 film Stree, this horror-comedy has captured the audience's attention once again, grossing over Rs 700 crore globally.
While Stree 2 is receiving love from fans, a "credit war" between Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor has become a topic of discussion. Fans are debating who deserves more credit for the film's success. However, director Amar Kaushik isn't bothered by this ongoing debate. In an interview with Zoom, Amar shared that the cast laughed it off. "We all have a great bond, and our friendship is solid. Just like the fans argue, we also enjoy their passion. We laughed out loud at the reactions," he said, brushing off the tension.
Amar further joked that the credit war is actually benefiting the movie. "Let the credit war go on," he told the entertainment news portal. "The more people talk about it, the more audience it brings to the theatres. Keep this credit war going because it's making people want to watch the film more," the Bhediya director added with a light-hearted tone.
When asked about Aparshakti Khurana's recent comment regarding the "PR game" regarding Stree 2's credit war, Amar revealed that confronted the Jubilee star and asked, "Maine Apar ko phone kiya and puch 'kya that?' Tho Apar ne bola 'Paji, mai tho aise he baat kar raha tha. Mere tho aadat hai bolne ke. Mai har baar has deta hu par is baar mai hasna bhul gaya, paji.' It looked serious, but it wasn't like that. I didn't yell at him, but maine pucha, 'yeh kya hai?'" Kaushuk revealed that's how Khurana hai doesn't have bad intentions. If something's on his heart, he'll say it, but it wasn't a big deal.
