Coolie No 1 actor Govinda is in the news currently as he suffered a bullet injury after his licensed gun misfired. This morning, Govinda reportedly accidentally got shot in the knee with his own gun. As per the reports, he was immediately rushed to the hospital and the treatment is underway. The news came as a shock to many. There are several reports around how and what happened. Now, the actor has himself shared his health update.
As reported by Viral Bhayani, Govinda sent an audio note to the media and shared his health update. He revealed that the bullet has been removed and he is doing well. He thanked everyone including the doctors. He thanked all his fans for sending in the prayers and well-wishes. As revealed by his daughter Tina Ahuja, Govinda is currently in ICU but is doing much better.
Govinda's close aide earlier revealed the events that led to misfiring. To the entertainment news section of Indian Express, Shashi Sinha stated that actor was about to leave for Kolkata and that he was keeping his licensed revolver in the cupboard. While doing so, the weapon accidentally fell on the ground. The bullet accidentally discharged and the actor got injured in his left knee. Currently, his daughter Tina Ahuja is said to be in the hospital. Wife Sunita Ahuja was not in the city when the incident took place. As per the reports, she is said to be heading back to Mumbai and will be going straight to the hospital. As per several reports, the weapon has now been seized by Mumbai Police and the investigation is on.
