As per the latest reports coming in, megastar Rajinikanth has been hospitalised in Chennai. The 73 years old actor reportedly complained of severe stomach pain after which he got admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai. However, neither the Apollo Hospital nor Rajinikanth's team has shared any details over the further procedure and actor's health. But it is being stated that he is doing stable. A few reports also suggest that the Jailer actor may undergo elective procedure on Tuesday. But updates from the hospital are still awaited.
As soon as the news of Rajinikanth's hospitalisation made it to the headlines in entertainment news segments, all his fans took to social media to pray for his speedy recovery. There are several visuals from outside the hospital too doing the rounds of the internet. Back in 2020, Rajinikanth had suffered a health scare due to which he gave up on his political career. He was going to enter the politics and had even announced his political party. However, he put the plan on hold citing health reasons. Pandemic was also one of the reasons why Rajinikanth did not start with his political party.
On the work front, there is no stopping for Rajinikanth. One after the other, he is churning out some blockbusters. After Jailer, he is now looking forward to the release of Vettaiyan. The movie brings him and Amitabh Bachchan together on the screen. It also stars Fahadh Faasil. It is directed by TJ Gnanavel. Vettaiyan marks Rajinikanth's 170th film and there is a great buzz around the same. Like Jailer smashed many box office records, the same is expected from Vettaiyan. Plus, it brings Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan together on screen after quite a few years. Two stalwarts in one frame always create a hype. The movie is slated to release on October 10.

After Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth also has Coolie in his kitty. It is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It is a Tami action thriller that will release in 2025. Stars like Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan and others are said to be a part of it.
