In the middle of the ongoing controversy over Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 19 fee, his alleged bias, and his failure to watch the show, producer Rishi Negi revealed their pre-WKV activities.

In an interview with India Today, Rishi stated that Salman watches a couple of hours of footage with them before hosting the Weekend Ka Vaar, even if he might not be able to see every episode.

The producer mentioned that they see all the footage being played out and discuss all of the important topics that occur within the home. Rishi also mentioned that he gets comments from individuals he knows who watch the show.

The producer further added, "So, he has a huge buy-in on what's happening in the house, what's happening with the contestant. He has a point of view. We, as the creators of the show, have a point of view in terms of how we are viewing it. We also have a lot of audience feedback that keeps pouring in. So, putting all of that together is how we stitch the weekend together."

Rishi defends Salman Khan

In response to the claim that Salman is only repeating what the production crew has taught him, Rishi stated that anyone familiar with Salman is aware that it is difficult to force him to say anything he doesn't believe in. He added, "He has his own point of view on whether that particular thing is right or wrong. We discuss, debate, and then we go on the floor."

He also addressed allegations that Salman Khan's payment is between Rs 150-200 crore every season, and while he could not confirm or reject the number, he stated, "This contract is between him and JioHotstar, so I am not privy to that. But whatever the rumour is, whatever it is, he is worth every penny. For me, as long as he is there on my weekend, I am a happy person."
