Mahakali First Look: Fans and movie buffs were thrilled when the makers of Puja Kolluru's Mahakali on Thursday, October 30, unveiled the first glimpse of Bhoomi Shetty, the lead actor who plays Maha in the eagerly anticipated movie. For the uninitiated, the movie is a part of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), which is directed by Varma herself.
Director Prasanth Varma, who is also the film's showrunner, shared the first look of Bhoomi Shetty's role in the film, writing, "From the cosmic womb of creation awakens the most FEROCIOUS SUPERHERO of the universe!" According to sources cited by Zee News, the unit has already finished more than half of the film's shooting. The unit is now filming on a large, purpose built set in Hyderabad. Usually, the movie business is hesitant to fund a picture with a non-star cast, but the producers have gone all out with a supposedly enormous production budget led by a newcomer.
