Akshay Kumar recreates Uncha Lamba Kad with Disha Patani, gives shout-out to original Queen Katrina Kaif

Welcome To The Jungle is the third installment in the Welcome franchise and brings Akshay Kumar back to the franchise. While John Abraham starred in the second installment titled Welcome Back, Akshay is back. The film features a star-studded cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, and Lara Dutta. While the movie was initially scheduled for a Christmas release in 2025, it might not be the case anymore. There were rumours going around that the movie was cancelled, but on Tuesday, November 4, Akshay Kumar indirectly denied rumours that Welcome To The Jungle was cancelled by posting a video with Disha Patani. The video included a revamped version of Uncha Lamba Kad from his 2007 film Welcome.

Akshay posted a video with Disha on his social media account, showcasing a new rendition of Uncha Lamba Kad playing in the backdrop. The clip captures the couple strolling together, with Akshay spinning Disha as they look into one another's eyes.

Akshay Kumar gives a shout-out to Katrina Kaif

Uncha Lamba Kad is a track that is still loved by many, mainly for the chemistry that Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif shared during the shooting for the Welcome song. This track is now being recreated for Welcome To The Jungle, where Disha Patani has replaced Katrina. Even though Disha is now associated with the song, Akshay couldn't help but reminisce about what once was with Katrina. In a joint post with Disha Patani, Akshay wrote, "From our hearts to yours!! What a throwback, 18 years & still an all time favourite. With so much nostalgia, beautiful Disha & I bring you 'Welcome to the Jungle' Never forgetting our Queen Katrina."

Shortly after Akshay posted the news about the Uncha Lamba Kad recreation, users promptly remarked that they would miss Katrina in the track. Numerous others encouraged Akshay to add lively dance moves in the new version, similar to the original, where his and Katrina's memorable steps are still cherished by fans. Some also urged Akshay not to 'spoil' the original song by remaking it.
