Dharmendra spent several days under medical monitoring after being taken to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital earlier this week. On November 12, he was released from the hospital after doctors verified that his family wanted him to continue healing at home.
Dharmendra's family issues official statement
In an official statement, the family said, "Mr Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home." Emphasising the need for sensitivity, they added, "We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family's privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone's love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you."
On November 11, Dharmendra's wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol officially clarified that he was still alive and doing well after false reports regarding his health and demise appeared online during his hospital stay.
