Why did Mona Singh ask SRK to leave the sets of Ba***ds Of Bollywood? All you need to know

0

Actor Mona Singh, who plays Neeta Singh in The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, recently revealed why she once asked Shah Rukh Khan to leave the set. In a chat with News18, Mona recalled shooting the recreated version of the 1997 song Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela and feeling too nervous to perform in front of SRK.

Why Mona Asked SRK to Leave the Set

Mona shared that her face was digitally superimposed onto one of the dancers from the original Gupt song. The track unexpectedly went viral again, flooding her DMs with memes. Her team even encouraged her to join the trend, and she said the love she received was 'overwhelming.'

Talking about SRK's visits to the set, Mona revealed a funny moment. "He came on the day we were shooting the song. I told him, 'Sir, you cannot be here! I can't do this in front of you.' He laughed and said, 'Mona, what do you mean? Be professional.' But I still begged him to leave," she said.

Why the Song Appears in the Series

In the series, Bobby Deol's character Ajay Talvar is revealed to be the father of Mona's character's son. To highlight their connection, director Aryan Khan digitally replaced the original dancer's face with Mona's in the song.

About The Bads of Bollywood

The show marks Aryan Khan's directorial debut and features a strong ensemble cast including Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Aanya Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Manoj Pahwa, Gautami Kapoor, and Rajat Bedi. The seven-episode series is currently streaming on Netflix.
